Animation & Web Design

  • Course Description: Students will create, design, and produce interactive multimedia products and services.  Students will be provided a broad-based foundation for beginning a career in areas such as Animation, Web Design and Motion Graphics.  The student will learn HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Animate and Adobe After Effects.
  • Prerequisites:  Must be able to navigate windows, find files, save files.
  • Foundational Skills: HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, Web Design/Coding, Principles of Animation, Motion Graphics. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects.

Game Design

  • Course Description:   This is a project-based course and will cover the fundamentals of game design and coding by following a real-world design and engineering process. Students will create socially useful games and applications for mobile devices and the web. The course emphasizes communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.
  • Prerequisites: Must be able to navigate windows, find files, save files.
  • Foundational Skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Coding, Construct 3, Godot, Unity, Game Graphics, Game Competitions

Digital Multimedia

  • Course Description: This is the 2nd year course for Animation/Web and Game Design.  Students will choose one of the pathways based upon their interests.  Students will deepen their understanding and further develop skills with web design, animation, and game development.  All students will prepare for industry certification in Adobe Photoshop as well as create a portfolio showcasing their work.
  • Prerequisites: Instructor Recommendation and completion of Animation & Web Design OR Game Design
  • Foundational Skills: Further develop your skills in animation and web and game design. Create a portfolio to showcase your work. 
  • Certification(s): Adobe Certified Professional Photoshop
