930 - Pre-Nursing/Pe-Med/Clinical and Technical Skills

Students will obtain the knowledge and initial skills required for entry level positions in the medical field, including physician offices, clinics, or hospital settings. Students learn to perform EKG, phlebotomy (blood drawing), infection control techniques, vital signs, pharmacology,anatomy, and physiology. This program also allows the student exposure to other areas in the medical field such as veterinary/animal science,pharmacy tech, physician & nursing careers. This course satisfies half (.5) credit of health to fulfill graduation requirements. Senior Math credit (1.0) is available with selection of this course.
